About RAF Brize Norton Flying Club!

In the heart of the Cotswolds with easy access from Oxford, Banbury, and Swindon, Brize Norton Flying Club has the professional yet relaxed attitude for flying whether it is for training pilots or a trial lesson.RAF Brize Norton Flying Club features:
  • Professional Instructors and Examiners
  • Superb Fleet of Training & Touring Aircraft
  • Self Fly Hire of aircraft
  • Training JAR PPL or NPPL, IMC, Night Rating

We are located at RAF Brize Norton Air Base, the busiest RAF base in Europe. Flying from RAF Brize Norton allows for easy access to most types of airspace and airfields that students and qualified pilots alike may wish to experience. Large areas of uncontrolled airspace cover the west midlands and the south west, with the additional attraction of operating from a professional RAF environment and the experience of mixing with the large variety of air traffic using the base. Despite this arrivals and departures are fairly straight forward.

Over 29 years old
RAF Brize Norton Flying Club was formed in 1979 to serve both Service and Civilian aeroplane enthusiasts. The first aeroplanes to serve at BNFC were G-AYJP and G-AYJR both PA28-140's. They still serve the club today and later two PA28-161 Warriors were added to the fleet G-BNRG and G-BPAF. Today all aircraft are painted in a striking navy and gold livery.

Many changes have taken place during the last 29 years but our principles have always remained in providing our enthusiastic members with a very professional training environment and a modern fleet of aircraft at affordable prices. Today more than ever, BNFC endeavours to offer professional and competitive training. We have very well maintained aircraft and dedicated instructors with a very friendly atmosphere.
