RAF Brize Norton Flying Club is a registered charity run by volunteers on a non-profit basis, providing opportunities for both military and civilian membership.  See About for more information on membership criteria and Prices for details of membership costs.

We operate from RAF Brize Norton in two PA28-161 Piper Warrior aircraft and one PA28-181 Piper Archer aircraft. All are IFR rated and can often be seen flying above the Oxfordshire countryside.  See the Our Aircraft page for further details on our aeroplanes and Prices for information on rental costs.

The club is a Declared Training Organisation, registered with the CAA (GBR.DTO-0002), and our instructors are able to instruct for the Private Pilot's Licence (PPL), Light Aircraft Pilot's Licence (LAPL), Night Rating and Instrument Rating (Restricted) - IR(R).  See Courses for more details.  Current and ex-services personnel can use Enhanced Learning Credits (ELC) towards their instruction, allowing them to access high quality training at a relatively low personal cost.  Standard Learning Credits (SLC) can also be used.

Operating from a live RAF base, with current and ex-RAF personnel on the committee and instructing, the club maintains high standards with a detailed Operations Manual and regularly reviewed safety procedures.
